This tile shower with angled door was a good choice to maximize space. The fixtures aren't visible but paired with the large shower head this is a very nice shower! The claw foot tub was a nice addition to this modern bathroom. The tub is anchored through the floor, the plumbing is exposed. Custom built cabinets really maximized space. They extend over the doorway. Note the granite top.Granite topped vanityNo wasted space, again granite topped counter and custom built cabinets.
Here are pictures (click each to enlarge!) of a rather small bathroom we remodeled. The shower tile matches the floor tile. The claw foot tub adds a nostalgic touch, we kept it safe by anchoring it through the floor. Note the exposed plumbing. The vanity and lower wall cabinets have granite tops. In order to maximize space, we built custom cabinets which extend over the doorway. This job also included a custom built closet organizer in the master bedroom.
Existing cabinets on this remodeling job were cleaned and refinished. A new hood was installed and vented to the outside, replacing the re-circulating hood previously installed in the kitchen. Green Elements - conservation by retention of existing wood cabinets, improved quality of inside air.The cabinets were equipped with new hardware to match the new light fixture and the existing sink & faucet. New Low-E vinyl sash replacement kits were installed in the window to improve energy efficiency. New countertops were installed. The dark blue makes a pleasing contrast with the wall and cabinet colors.More storage space was needed so new cabinets were built, along with added outlets to accomodate the intended use of the counter. The cabinet was divided to make two adjustable shelves. Green Element - Wood cabinets: not MDF!More space was provided up above. The upper unit over the counter top was divided into two compartments also and was equipped with two adjustable shelves in each compartment. The unit over the refrigerator was built as one unit for those "seldom needed items."The dining room and kitchen were reconfigured slightly to allow the installation of the cabinets in the kitchen and give some needed wall space in the dining room for a corner hutch. The color contrast between the trim, the wall and the floor make for a very bright and attractive environment.
These picture are of a kitchen remodeling job which involved refinishing existing (stained) cabinets and removing the dark wall paneling. Drywall was installed in the kitchen and dining room New cabinets were built to match the existing units. Low-E sash replacement kits were used to replace the sashes in the two kitchen windows. We refinished the ceilings and installed new crown and baseboards. New engineered wood flooring was installed to make bright, colorful rooms: floor to ceiling! Click each picture to enlarge and look for the "green features"!

The room is equipped for surround sound with the termination points for the wiring being on either side of the fireplace. The bonus room is over the two car garage and is a nice place to get away and relax
The following pictures represent a remodeling job that focused on assisted living features. The bath tub was removed and a shower with a seat was installed. The wand and grab bars are great safety features that add confidence and stability.
A new tile floor completed the bathroom work. The wall dimensions in the adjoining bedroom required custom built door and window frames.
The shower with a seat replaced the bath tub. The wand & grab bars are features typically seen in assisted living quarters. The adjoining bedroom was remodeled with two part crown, 6 panel door units and color changes to enhance the appearance.

This master bath is small but a few changes made it bright and more enjoyable.  The wallpaper was removed, the "dark stained" cabinetry was refinished with paint to make it less dominating and wide crown and baseboards were installed to increase the appeal of the trim and make it more of an accent to the room.  Large ceramic tile was installed on the floor to make the room appear larger and aid in brighten the room.

What once was a fiberglass tub/shower with ceiling became a cultured marble shower with a frameless glass door.  The shower "faucet" became a shower head, a wand and body jets; each independently operated by the a single valve control.  The ceiling in the shower was raised to the height of the ceiling in the other areas of the bath and two recessed lights installed.  A light an lively place to bathe!

The plate glass mirror over the vanity was removed and a custom built medicine cabinet was installed.  The old strip bar light was taken out and individual sconces were installed over each sink with separate switches.  With limited available wall space, the tooth brush holder and soap dispenser were mounted to the underside of the medicine cabinet between the sinks.  The existing cultured marble vanity top was retained and new faucets installed.
